Many young Filipino men have aspired to join the Philippine Air Force. For one, it is one of the best ways to serve our country, and our countrymen. Aside from this, this is also one of the most fulfilling careers anyone could ever have.
Becoming a part of the PAF is like becoming a modern day hero, and there’s now wonder many have dreamt of applying as a candidate soldier. If this is also a dream you have been wishing to realize, here are the things you need to know in order to qualify and join.
Philippine Air Force Qualifications:
Just like any other jobs or careers, there is a set of qualifications for those who wish to apply. As for PAF, the applicant can be either a male or female and must be a natural born Filipino citizen.

He or she must also be single and that means not married or no obligation to a child. When it comes to height, both male and female applicants must be at least 5’0 ft. Applicants must also be college degree holders or they should have completed at least 72 units in college and should be between the ages of 21 and 29 years for PAFOC, and between 18 and 23 for CS.
Lastly, these applicants should not only be physically fit for training, but they have to be mentally prepared too. They must not have any records of misconduct and have certification of good moral character.

Apart from these requirements or qualifications, there are also some things that may result in the applicants’ disqualification and these include tattoo, piercings for male and extra piercings for female, obesity, bow leggedness, cross eyedness, and lacking or even excess finger.
Like a typical application, a written exam should also be expected. There are forms that applicants must fill out so that they can qualify to take the exam. The application form can be downloaded from the official website of PAF. They must also secure their birth certificate authenticated by NSO, recent 2 x 2 colored picture and transcript of records or diploma.

After being able to pass the examination, additional forms and documents will be required from the applicant. They will also be given further instructions and schedules for the training.
